Peruvian Food – Cocina Peruana

The Peruvian Ministry of Culture has presented a file that sustains the history and unique characteristics of our gastronomy, explaining why Peruvian cuisine deserves to be declared Unesco Cultural World Heritage.

Peruvian gastronomy represents our cultural identity, it is the expression of our regional kitchens, with the excellence of our emblematic products like potatoes, maiz, red peppers, among others.  Peruvian gastronomy also showcases our old cooking techniques and ancestral knowledge and community behaviors.
